報告簡介：While oil and gas appears to remain as a primary source of energy for at least next 20 years, and demand for natural gas is increasing with fast pace, the industry and academia have been facing significant external challenges, in addition to ongoing technical and economic challenges. The presentation will highlight some of the challenges, and explore how the academia may contribute through research and innovation. The talk also highlights the research capability in petroleum engineering.

報告人簡介：Dr. Hossain is a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng, NER) with more than 17 years of teaching, research and consulting works experience in multiple areas of petroleum engineering with an emphasis on areas associated with Petroleum Well and Production Technology. He taught a variety of petroleum engineering petroleum engineering courses in both undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and successfully directed and supervised many academic research projects at honors, masters and PhD level for petroleum engineering students.
